Install steps for each device

Download and install Rafiq Al-Muslim

One app with prayer times and the adhan, the Qibla, the Quran, adhkar, Holy Quran Radio with the Makkah and Madinah channels, Quran audio from 49 reciters to listen to and download, and exchange rates. Free, works offline and updates itself.

Android (phone and car screen)

Download the Android app (APK) Size: 3.9 MB · Android 5+
  1. Tap the download button on your phone or car screen, or copy the file there on a USB stick.
  2. Open RafiqAlMuslim.apk from “Downloads” or the file manager.
  3. If you see “Install unknown apps”, tap “Settings”, turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back.
  4. Tap “Install”, then “Open”.
  5. Allow notifications so the adhan plays at every prayer even when the app is closed, and allow location to set the times for your city.
  6. The radio is in the “Radio” tab: tap “Prepare the offline radio” once while online so it keeps playing on the road.

If the adhan does not play on time: phone Settings → Apps → Rafiq Al-Muslim → Battery → “Unrestricted”. To update, download it again and install over the old one.

Windows (desktop and laptop)

Download for Windows (EXE) Size: 12.9 MB · Windows 10 / 11
  1. Click the download button and wait for RafiqAlMuslim.exe to finish.
  2. Open the file from “Downloads” by double-clicking it.
  3. If a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen appears, click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
  4. Choose “Yes” to install. A Rafiq Al-Muslim icon appears on the desktop and in the Start menu.
  5. The radio is in the “Radio” section and Quran audio in “Quran”. The program updates itself from the site.

To remove it: Settings → Apps → Rafiq Al-Muslim → Uninstall.

iPhone and iPad

Open the app in Safari iOS 16.4+ · Safari
  1. Open the link in Safari (Chrome cannot do this step on iPhone).
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an up arrow) at the bottom.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”, then “Add”.
  4. Open Rafiq Al-Muslim from the new icon and allow location and notifications.

On iPhone the adhan plays only while the app is open, and the radio may stop if the screen stays locked for long; these are Apple limits on web apps.
